George Dotsis

Assistant Professor

George Dotsis is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), and a Master’s degree in Financial Mathematics from Cass Business School, UK. He completed his PhD in Finance at the Department of Management Science and Technology, also at AUEB.

From 2006 to 2011, he served as Lecturer and later as Senior Lecturer in Finance at Essex Business School, University of Essex, UK. He has taught both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including Risk Management, Portfolio Management, Corporate Finance, and Derivative Pricing.

His research interests focus on security valuation, investment appraisal, financial institution analysis, and financial history. He is the author of the book IOU, Money and the Banking System (published by Utopia).

In addition to his academic work, he has acted as a financial consultant to firms and organizations on issues related to financial analysis and investment strategy.
