Paschalis Arvanitidis (MEng, MLE-RICS, PgC, PhD) is Professor of Institutional Economic Analysis and Director of the Laboratory of Economic Policy and Strategic Planning at the Department of Economics, University of Thessaly. He also serves as a tutor and course coordinator at the Hellenic Open University, specializing in the field of the commons.

His research interests include institutional methodology and analysis, commons governance, social and solidarity economy, spatial economics, and land and real estate markets.

He has participated in numerous research projects—six of which as principal investigator—funded by national and European sources (H2020, FP7, FP6, INTERREG). His work has been published in reputable international and Greek academic journals as well as in edited volumes.
