Admission Requirements

Evaluation

The evaluation of the candidates and the selection of the admitted students are based on the overall score, on a scale from zero (0) to one hundred (100), according to the following criteria:

Statistics Table

Based on the overall criteria, the Program Committee of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program of Studies (ERDM) drafts and approves the evaluation list of the candidates. In the event of a tie in scores, all candidates with equal scores are admitted.

The enrollment of successful candidates holding a degree from a foreign institution is completed only upon submission of a certified copy of their degree (by any legal means).

In the case of candidates holding a first cycle degree from a foreign institution, the Secretariat of the Postgraduate Program, in accordance with the applicable legislation, checks whether the institution of origin is listed in the National Registry of Recognized Foreign Institutions and whether the type of degree is included in the National Registry of Degree Types of Recognized Institutions, both of which are published on the Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Center (DOATAP) website.

If the foreign university degree is included in the DOATAP list under Article 307 of Law 4957/2022, the Secretariat of the Postgraduate Program is required to request a Certificate of Place of Study, which must be issued and sent by the foreign university. Applications that certify Greece as the place of study are excluded, unless the part of the studies conducted in Greece took place at a public Higher Education Institution (HEI), in accordance with Law 3328/2005 (A’ 80).

Accepted applicants

The successful candidates are notified in writing by the Secretariat of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program (ERDM) and are required to respond in writing, within fifteen (15) days, indicating whether or not they accept their admission to the program. By accepting, they agree to the program’s terms of operation and proceed with the payment of the first installment of the tuition fees.

Failure to respond or to pay the first installment of the tuition fees within the above deadline by a selected candidate shall be considered as a refusal of acceptance, and the Secretariat is thereby authorized to inform the next candidate(s) in the evaluation ranking from the list of successful applicants.

Appeals

Any objections by candidates regarding the evaluation process must be submitted to the Secretariat of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program (ERDM) within five (5) working days from the date of the announcement of the results. The objections are reviewed by the Program Committee of the ERDM.

The successful candidates of the ERDM “Development Management of European Regions” must pay the first installment of the tuition fees (€400) as a registration fee immediately after the announcement of the results and must send the corresponding payment receipt to the Secretariat of the ERDM. Subsequently, the Secretariat will proceed with their official registration in the program.

In case one or more successful candidates do not proceed with registration, the next candidates on the waiting list will be informed to fill the available places (if any). At the beginning of each academic semester, students are required to pay the next three (3) tuition installments (€1,200 each).

Mandatory documents

Upon registration, students are required to submit a photocopy of their National Identity Card or Passport, a solemn declaration stating that they are not simultaneously enrolled in another postgraduate program, proof of payment of the first installment of tuition fees, and a solemn declaration confirming that they have read and accepted the Internal Regulations.

At the beginning of each semester, students are required to renew their enrollment by submitting a course declaration form and proof of payment for the corresponding tuition installment.
